1963-1964 Studebaker Avanti and 1965–1985 Avantis door anti rattle weather seal.
Includes one (1) N.O.S. door to door glass, anti rattle weather seal These w/s are snapped into a stainless retainer that is attached to the fiberglass door they divide the fiberglass door from the door glass on the top of the door. Their purpose, to divert most water from going down inside the door as well as to keep the door glass from rattling when partially or all the way down. That’s why we coined them anti rattle weather seals. The original Studebaker Avanti service manual describes a very lengthy time consuming method to change these w/s.
Very easy to install, and well worth the time and money when you hear the door close for the first time without the embarrassing rattling sound of a clunker.
These are not the reproduction parts that are being sold by others, using the original part numbers, but the real deal, New Original Stock. The reproductions that I have seen are not the correct material, they are too soft and fall out of the stainless retainer. The originals were made of a different material and are firmer.
