Studebaker Avanti, Avanti Front Engine Frame Crossmember
New Original Stock, Front engine frame cross member. This is a N.O.S. item that has never been painted. It has the gussets welded in place up in the inside of for added support that Avanti Motor Corp. determined was needed.
It will fit any any 1963-1985 Studebaker Avanti or Avanti. It should also fit most Studebaker cars and trucks check the part number to your Studebaker Parts Manual (Part No. 1545042)
You should check your Crossmember as the steel wants to tear where the motor mount bracket bolts to this cross member. Also the upper inner control arm shaft bolt holes become elongated and the hole for the upper shock stud and nut can become enlarged.
This is a VERY RARE item, and you really can’t repair the old one properly.
